New Mexico United News Release

New Mexico United and the Somos Unidos Foundation are thrilled to announce the addition of Antony Sifuentes, forward from Anthony, New Mexico, to its Academy roster. Sifentes has played high school soccer at Gadsden High School, and is the second player from Southern New Mexico to join the New Mexico United Academy roster.

"We're really excited about Antony's potential," said New Mexico United Academy Head Coach Luke Sanford. "Our attacking group is extremely talented and Antony will be challenged daily to continue to grow his game. We are happy he took the chance to come to Albuquerque. His being here is a credit to Lucien Starzynski and his amazing work in scouting for our club."

Sifuentes is seventeen years old and knows what it takes to be a champion. In 2021, he led Gadsden High School to a district championship. His favorite team is the Mexico National Team, and his favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo. When he grows up, Sifuentes wants to be a pro soccer player.
