Tucson Toros News Release
The Tucson Toros eclipsed the double-digit run mark for the second night in a row en route to a 14-5 road victory over the Chico Outlaws on Thursday. The win sealed a series victory for the Toros, their first on the road series win of the season, by taking two of three games against the Outlaws.
Just one night after a 13 run, 21 hit explosion Tucson busted out again with another 17 hits, including one from each player in the lineup for the second consecutive night. Each Toro also scored at least one run in the contest.
Rightfielder Curt Miaso led the way with four hits, three runs scored and two stolen bases, falling just a double short of the cycle. First Baseman Dustin Yount and Third Baseman Luis Apodaca had three hits apiece.
Leftfielder Lino Garcia and Catcher Dylan Parzyk both homered and drove in a pair of runs. Parzyk's longball was his first of the season. Garcia's raised his season total to two.
Starter Cibney Bello went six innings allowing just four runs while striking out six to earn his first win of the season.
The Toros will return home to host the Yuma Scorpions for a three game season beginning Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Hi-Corbett Field.
