San Jose, CA- The World Champion San Francisco Giants have announced that catcher Andrew Susac is scheduled to begin a rehabilitation assignment with the San Jose Giants TONIGHT (Tuesday, August 11) at Municipal Stadium. The 7:00 PM game against the Visalia Rawhide is the opener of a six game homestand. Tickets can be purchased online at sjgiants.com, at the Municipal Stadium box office or by calling (408) 297-1435.

Susac, a second round pick in the 2011 draft by the San Francisco Giants, made his major league debut last season and is recovering from a sprained right thumb. Last year, he was one of 16 former San Jose Giants to take part in the World Champion San Francisco Giants playoff run. In 2012, Susac was the everyday catcher for the San Jose Giants and collected a .244 AVG, nine home runs and 52 RBI.
