American Defenders of New Hampshire News Release

(December 9, 2008 - NASHUA, NH) - The weather in New England may signal the arrival of winter, but the new American Defenders of New Hampshire are busy preparing for what promises to be an exciting summer.

General Manager and Vice President of Baseball Operations Chris Hall announced that the Nashua-based American Defenders, the newest member of the Can-Am League, have come to terms with free agent outfielder/first baseman/catcher Angel Molina, formerly of the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League.

"Molina is a talented veteran with solid defense, good power and will hit in the middle of the line up for us," said Hall. "He was named to Baseball America's All-Independent League Team this year with the Florence Freedom."

Molina led the Freedom with a .327 average in 2008. He split his time between the outfield and first base where he committed just five errors. He was second on the Freedom with 22 homeruns, while also connecting for 22 doubles and knocking in 71 RBI in 94 games. Molina was also the 2008 Frontier League All-Star game MVP and Home Run Derby Champion, and was named to the All-Indy Leagues Team primarily for his work in the outfield.

Molina is currently playing Winter Ball in Puerto Rico for Ponce, where through December 3 he carried a .313 average, collecting five hits (including two doubles and a home run) and knocking in three over eight games. He has scored four runs himself, and has yet to record an error in the field.

The American Defenders of New Hampshire, southern New Hampshire's exciting new baseball franchise, are preparing to take on their inaugural mission - bringing the national pastime to the masses at a price they can afford.

Boston Baseball All-Stars, LLC recently signed a three-year deal with the city of Nashua and Historic Holman Stadium to bring a new model of baseball and entertainment to New Hampshire starting in May of 2009, when the American Defenders of New Hampshire (formerly known as the Nashua Pride) will make their debut as a member of the independent professional Can-Am League. The ownership group also has plans to bring a series of concerts to the newly-christened Nokona Park at Historic Holman Stadium, the details of which will be announced in the coming months.

The new ownership group consists of Nokona Athletic Goods executives Buddy Lewis, Jerry O'Connor and Terry Allvord, along with former Red Sox general manager Dan Duquette. On the field, the Defenders will be led by former major leaguer Brian Daubach, who has signed on as manager. Daubach is no stranger to baseball fans in the Granite State, serving last season as hitting coach, and part of his career as a first baseman for the Boston Red Sox.

Individual Season Ticket packages include admission to over 50 events. Fans who want to be a part of the mission of the American Defenders of New Hampshire this baseball season are invited to learn more by calling (603) 883-2255 or visiting them online at www.americandefenders.us
