With the score tied 4-4 entering the bottom of the fourth inning, the Pensacola Pelicans added three runs to take a 7-4 lead and would never look back as they went on to win at home. Pensacola tallied 15 hits in the contest, led by DH Rafael Alvarez who was 3-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Pelicans 1B Josh Morgan was 1-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. Pensacola reliever Dane DeValk was credited with the win after allowing a run in two innings.

Lincoln 5, Wichita 4

The Lincoln Saltdogs fell behind 4-0 after three innings, but slowly chipped away at Wichita's lead and rallied for two runs in the ninth inning to win 5-4. Lincoln 1B Dustin Yount led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a run scored and a pair of RBI. Saltdogs RF Shawn McGill also had a good game, going 3-for-4 as well with two RBI. Lincoln reliever Jim Paduch did not allow a run in 3 1/3 innings, picking up his first win. The victory puts Lincoln into a tie with Sioux City atop the North Division standings.
