Winnipeg 7, Wichita 3 (Winnipeg leads series, 2-0)
Trailing 3-2 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, Winnipeg 3B Amos Ramon launched a three-run home run to give the Goldeyes a 5-3 lead and they would go on to beat the Wichita Wingnuts in game two by the score of 7-3. With the victory, Winnipeg has a 2-0 series lead and can wrap up the title with a win in Wichita Friday night. Ramon finished the game going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI. Goldeyes CF Chris Roberson had three hits and two RBI while RF Michael Coles scored two runs in a 1-for-3 night. Winnipeg starting pitcher Chris Salamida notched the win as he allowed three earned runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings pitched.
