Amarillo, TX 9/22/10 - The Amarillo Venom will continue to be a part of community events going on even during the off season. The Venom organization understands the importance of being a part of the community on and off the field. "Although we are currently in our off season, our organization will continue to appear at events throughout the Amarillo community" commented Venom General Manager Joe Morgado. He goes on to say "There is never an off season when it comes to being a part of the community."
Venom players will be a part of the Susan G. Komen "Race for the Cure" Kids Corner, this Saturday, September 25th from 8am-10am in the parking lot of the Amarillo Building in downtown Amarillo. "We as players enjoy appearing at events where we can interact with children and our fans" commented WR DuVaughn Flagler.
Some of the players expected to be on hand are QB Julian Reese, WR DuVaughn Flagler, CB Darrius Battles and LB Kendrick Bournes to sign autographs and interact with the children.
