Amarillo Venom News Release
Amarillo, TX 10/11/10 - The Amarillo Venom have announced they will hold open tryouts for the 2011 football season Sunday, December 12th the Amarillo Civic Center at 901 S Buchanan St.
Registration begins at 12:30pm at the Amarillo Civic Center's North Exhibit Hall and costs $60 (will accept cash only day of try-out. Cash due at registration time). To register and pay in advance with a Visa, MasterCard, AMEX or Discover visit the Venom website at www.govenom.com. Players who register prior to December 12th will receive a $10 discount on tryout fees.
The tryout is open for all positions as players will be required to perform a professional style combine workout such as the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, and standing long jump. Players will be evaluated on their individual skills and techniques. Participants should come prepared with correct footwear for field turf and proper athletic attire (track spikes are prohibited).
