
Allen Shuts out Sundogs, 2-0

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - 24 saves by Rejean Beauchemin propelled the Allen Americans to a 2-0 shutout win over the Arizona Sundogs on Tuesday night at the Allen Event Center.
Allen's Jeff Martens opened up the game's scoring with a shorthanded goal midway through the first period. Mark Nebus scored at 10:46 of the third period to extend the American's lead.
Scott Reid turned in a 33-save performance for the Sundogs despite the loss.
Neither team registered a power play goal. Arizona went 0-for-4 and the Americans finished 0-for-7.
This is the first time in five meetings this season a game between the Sundogs and Americans was not decided by a goal.
The Sundogs conclude their two-game road trip on Wednesday when they visit the Wichita Thunder. Game time is set for 6:05 PM MST.
