Allen Americans Players Getting in the Christmas Spirit

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans and Dick's Sporting Goods teamed up last night for the 5th annual Shop with an Allen Americans Player Night at Dick's Sporting Goods.
A total of 35 kids from the Collin County Boys and Girls Clubs gathered at Dick's Sporting Goods in the Village at Allen last night, along with Allen Americans players; Alex Lavoie, Spencer Asuchak, Bryan Pitton, Johnathan Lessard and John Snowden.The children were given $160 in cash to spend at Dick's, along with the help of an Americans player.
Some of the gifts bought last night included basketballs, running shoes, baseball gloves, socks, track suits, sweatshirts, soccer balls, and even a tent was purchased by one child who said he loves the outdoors.
"I really enjoyed being a part of this," said Allen Americans forward Johnathan Lessard. "Helping the kids shop and seeing the excitement on their faces made the whole night worthwhile."
Pizza was provided for the kids by Allen Americans five-year corporate partner, Boston's The Gourmet Pizza. In addition to the shopping spree, the Americans gave each child tickets to this weekend's games against Brampton.
The Americans next home games are this Friday and Saturday night against the Brampton Beast. Tickets are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or call (972) 912-1000.
