
Albany Legends Re-Sign Chris Grant

Albany, New York - The Albany Legends are pleased to announce that Chris Grant, a reserve guard for the Albany Legends in 2010, will return for the 2011 season.
Chris Grant, a 2 year starter at Morgan State, hails from Brooklyn,, NY, and started his career at Nassau CC on Long Island in 2001. At Morgan State, he was third in assists in the MEAC in his senior year (05). Chris continued his giving ways in the ABA in 2010 with the Strong Island Sound (All-star), and also produced 2 assists per game in 8 minutes per game in a reserve role with the IBL Legends last season.
"I hope to get Chris more involved this season, and help develop his game to the point where he is a needed commodity on an overseas team." Head Coach Ben Smith said. "He has the potential to become a good professional guard in many ways. His attitude, his athleticism, and his basketball I.Q. will only grow by being a part of the Legends this season. I intend to put players around him that will help him grow."
Smith already has bolstered the guard corps for the season, Signing area veteran E.J. Gallup, and being close on a signing of Damone Morris, last years starting SG, and Lloyd Johnson, last years reserve PG, along with a couple of key names yet to be announced.
"I sincerely look forward to coming back for another season with the Legends,"� Grant said in a phone interview. "The staff is great, the people- the fans are great, the whole environment is positive. I look forward to bringing another championship back to Albany."
