Albany, New York - The Albany Legends will hold player tryouts on February 20-21, and March 27-28. The Legends are gearing up for their first year as a member of the International Basketball League, with games beginning in April at the historic Washington Avenue Armory in Albany.
The team will hold two tryout camps: February 20th, 2010 from 3-9 pm and February 21st from 9 am-Noon, OR, March 27th from 3-9pm and March 28th from 9am-Noon. All tryouts will be held at the YMCA at 274 Washington Avenue.
For those traveling from outside of the area, the tryout fee is $100, which includes hotel rooms, breakfast, and transportation to and from the tryouts. Those who do not require lodging and transportation will pay $75.
Legends coaches and staff want to evaluate players, and give them a full opportunity to prove themselves in this exciting league, now in its sixth year of action. After the 2007 IBL season, 102 players in the league went on to play overseas.
