The Albany Legends are back in International Basketball League action at CBA, 12 Airline Dr in Colonie this weekend playing host to the Gary (Indiana) Splash. Tonight and Saturday night's games start at 7 pm and Sunday's game tips off at 6 pm.
The Legends, Gary (Indiana) Splash and Kankakee (Illinois) Soldiers find themselves in an early season, three way tie for first place in the International Division going into this weekend's action.
The 2-1 Legends have relied early in the season on 2010 Championship veterans Deandre Thomas (23 ppg), Lloyd Johnson (20 ppg), Lloyd Clinton (18 ppg) and Damone Morris (14 ppg). Newcomers and local products EJ Gallup is averaging 13 point and Emanuel Mayben is averaging a well rounded 10 ppg, 4 rebounds and 5 assist per game.
The Splash come to town with a lineup highlighted by sharp shooter guard TJ Jackson, SW Oklahoma (23 ppg) and BJ Walker, 6'10 forward from Oklahoma City is averaging a double double with 13 ppg and 10 rebounds.
