May 25, 2006 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) News Release
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The American Indoor Football League Northern Conference players of the week for week 13 are as follows:
OFFENSE: Tom Stetzer, Reading Express. Completed 16 of 29 passes for 189 yards and 5 touchdowns as Reading downed Huntington 43-21 to remain atop the conference. . DEFENSE: Rashan Hall, Canton Legends. Keyed a Legend defense that all but shut down the Erie Freeze with eight tackles in a 50-27 victory.e
LINEMAN: Pat Willis, Miami Valley Silverbacks. Solid play up front helped Miami Valley control the Steubenville Stampede, 40-21.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Jason Cherry, Johnstown Riverhawks. Made six PATs, including a drop kick, as Johnstown downed the Cumberland County Cardinals.
AIFL SOUTHERN CONFERENCE PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The American Indoor Football League Southern Conference players of the week for week 13 are as follows:
OFFENSE: Joey Conrad, Chattahoochee Valley Vipers. Threw for 248 yards and four touchdowns as the Vipers downed the Florence Phantoms 42-40 to improve their playoff positioning.
DEFENSE: Charles Jones, Rome Renegades. Three interceptions as the Renegades held off Augusta 37-34 to clinch home field advantage in the first round.
LINEMAN: Terrance Chapman, Raleigh Rebels. Had five tackles, an interception and a hurry as the Rebels' defense bailed out the offense and held off the Daytona Beach Thunder 30-29.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Chris Segaar, Richmond Bandits. Went 13-16 on PATs on connected on four rouges as the Bandits defeated the AIFL Ghostchasers.
