Ahmaad Galloway update

Ahmaad Galloway was injured during Frankfurt's game this past week with Cologne. My friend and Galaxy superfan D.B. alerted me to this and upon further review this was found on the Galaxy website:

Die zweite Halbzeit beginnt mit einer Hiobsbotschaft für die Frankfurt Galaxy. Running Back AHMAAD GALLOWAY kann aufgrund einer Wadenverletzung nicht weiterspielen.

My translation of this:

The second half began with bad news for the Galaxy. Ahmaad Galloway could not continue to play due to a calf injury.

Although the website is reporting a calf injury, what I have heard through other sources is that it was a minor hamstring pull, while "running wide [during a carry] and slip on a sideline tarp" of some sort.

NFL Europe Fantasy Football players who own Galloway on www.nflgames.net should closely monitor this injury and adjust accordingly if the team announces he will not be playing.

Galloway is probably the best running back in NFL Europe this season. He was a star at Alabama during college, but a major knee injury his senior season derailed his dreams of being a high draft pick in the NFL. It would be a shame if the calf/hamstring injury causes him to miss any games in NFL Europe this season because he had been playing beyond expectations prior to the game against Cologne.

On another note, apparently, "Tale of Two Halves" is a popular article title about the Rhein/Hamburg game this past weekend. I apologize to NFLEurope.com writer Brian Gainor for publishing an article by the same name. I assure him that my article was written during the weekend, along with the title and that I had not read his article until after mine was written and posted by my friends at Our Sports Central. I guess great minds think alike.
