
AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . The American Hockey League today announced that Grand Rapids Griffins forward Darryl Bootland has been suspended for one (1) game as a result of his actions during an AHL playoff game vs. Manitoba on Apr. 27.
Bootland was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline) for his slashing major and game misconduct in the third period of the game.
Bootland will miss Game 6 of the North Division semifinal series between the teams on Sunday (Apr. 29) in Winnipeg.
