
AHL announces Eastern Conference Finals schedule

The American Hockey League has announced the schedule for the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2008 Calder Cup Playoffs, pitting the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins against the Portland Pirates.
On Friday night, the Penguins defeated the Philadelphia Phantoms, 3-1, to wrap up a 4-games-to-1 victory in the East Division Finals, while the Pirates defeated the league-leading Providence Bruins, 5-4, to win the Atlantic Division Finals in six games.
