Aguilar Named in USL Team-of-the-Week
June 19, 2007 - USL First Division (USL-1)
California Victory News Release
SAN FRANCISCO (June 19, 2007) -- Califoronia Victory fullback Luis Aguilar was named in the United Soccer Leagues' Team of The Week today following another top-drawer performance in Saturday's match at Atlanta.
Aguilar helped his team to a 0-0 tie with the Silverbacks, and is part of a much-improved back four (or somethimes three) that has now gone three straight without conceding a goal, making it one of the stingiest defenses in the league in recent weeks.
The right-back was one of a handful of University of San Francisco graduates that joined the Victory for its inaugural season. As a USF Don he was a second-team All-West Coast Conference selection in 2004, and a first-team selection in 2005. Aguilar has also played for the San Francisco Seals and Ajax Orlando of the USL PDL.
