Chicago Rush News Release

The Arena Football League's Chicago Rush will host a free-agent tryout camp Saturday, November 8, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the team announced today.

The tryout will be held at the RMU Island Sports Center, located at 7600 Grand Avenue in Pittsburgh.

"Western Pennsylvania is known for its rich football talent," said Rush head coach Mike Hohensee. "Hopefully, we will find a player or two who we can add to our 2004 roster."

Tryouts for kickers will begin at 2 p.m., with tryouts for all other positions including QB, WR/DB, FB/LB and OL/DL beginning at 4 p.m.

Players hoping to impress the Rush coaching staff and, potentially, win an invitation to the team's 2004 training camp in January, are encouraged to attend the camp.

All attending players will be put through a series of tests to measure speed, strength and agility. The tests will be followed by a series of offensive and defensive drills.

Players attending the camp from out-of-town are encouraged to stay at the Wyndham Pittsburgh Airport, the official hotel of the Chicago Rush tryout camp. The Wyndham Pittsburgh Airport is located at 777 Aten Road in Coraopolis, Pa., near both the Pittsburgh airport and the RMU Island Sports Center.

All players interested in the tryout must register in advance by calling Jeff Henderson at the Rush office at (847) 590-8430. There will be a $50 registration fee and players will be required to bring their own T-shirt, practice shorts and running shoes.
