FRIDAY'S GAME

ORLANDO 41, Carolina 24 (Attendance: 12,752): Game MVP JAY GRUDEN passed for 193 yards and four touchdowns, including three to WR/DB CORY FLEMING, as the Predators (11-4) handed the Cobras (0-15) their record-setting 15th loss this season.

SATURDAY'S GAMES

Dallas 56, GEORGIA 55 (Attendance: 8,355): A 58-yard field goal attempt by Force K STEVE MCLAUGHLIN fell short as time expired and Dallas (9-6) held off Georgia (9-6) for the one-point victory. Desperados QB JIM KUBIAK was named Game MVP completing 22-of-30 passing for 260 yards and six touchdowns. Rookie QB LEON MURRY passed for 354 yards and eight touchdowns for Georgia, including five to Ironman of the Game DARRYL HAMMOND.

LOS ANGELES 45, Colorado 34 (Attendance: 13,481): Avengers WR/DB RUSSELL SHAW recorded in a touchdown reception and returned a Crush missed field goal attempt in the closing second of the first half as Los Angeles (11-4) defeated Colorado (2-13). Shaw earned Game MVP and Ironman of the Game honors for his performance.

SUNDAY'S GAMES

New York 49, BUFFALO 30 (Attendance: 6,116): Dragons QB AARON GARCIA threw six touchdowns on his way to Game MVP honors as New York (7-8) outscored Buffalo 25-7 in the second half and eliminated the Destroyers (5-10) from playoff contention. With the win, the Dragons climbed to the No. 10 playoff position.

Detroit 76, LAS VEGAS 52 (Attendance:): Detroit QB ANDY KELLY threw nine touchdowns as the Fury (8-7) clinched a playoff berth and took sole possession of first place in the Eastern Division with one week to play. Las Vegas dropped to 7-8 with the loss.

Indiana 71, GRAND RAPIDS 68 (Attendance: 8,488): Firebirds WR/DB JAY JONES recovered an on-side kick attempt by Grand Rapids (8-7) with 10 seconds remaining in regulation to secure the win for Indiana (6-9), who matched a team game-high for points this season with 71. Game MVP RAYMOND PHILYAW passed for 189 yards and seven touchdowns, including three to Jones.

Arizona 56, CHICAGO 44 (Attendance: 12,948): Game MVP SHERDRICK BONNER completed 21-of-30 pass attempts for 236 yards and six touchdowns, including four to RANDY GATEWOOD, as the Rattlers (9-6) knocked off the Rush (7-8).

San Jose 47, TAMPA BAY 34 (Attendance:): The San Jose SaberCats (11-4) secured a first round playoff bye and matched the Storm (11-4), Los Angeles Avengers and Orlando Predators for the best record in the Arena Football League with the victory.
