TAMPA STORM (1-1) AT AUSTIN WRANGLERS (1-0)

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22, AT 2 P.M. CT

(TV: NBC - BILL WEBER, PAT SPERDUTO and ROGER WALLACE)

Tampa Bay OS FREDDIE SOLOMON had a career-high five receiving TDs, catching eight passes for 119 yards in last weekÂ’s 70-62 loss to the Georgia Force... Solomon is the AFLÂ’s leading scorer, with 48 points. Solomon and Storm QB SHANE STAFFORD were named Co-Offensive Players of Game in Week 2... Stafford tied a team record with eight passing TDs, completing 25-of-34 passes for 304 yards... He also rushed for a TD in the game... Stafford has 13 TDs for the season, with one interception. The Storm lost for the first time when scoring 60 or more points, leaving Tampa Bay now 39-1 in such a scenario... The 70 points scored by the Force were the second-most points ever given up by Tampa Bay and marked just the second time the Storm have given 70 or more points in a game... The Storm will hit the road this week to face the expansion Austin Wranglers, quarterbacked by former Storm QB JOHN KALEO... The Wranglers upset their division-rival Orlando Predators in their inaugural AFL appearance... Kaleo debuted for the Wranglers by connecting on 28-of-39 for 307 yards five TDs and an interceptionÂ… Kaleo connected with WR/DB CHARLIE DAVIDSON 13 times for 151 yards, WR/LB DARRYL HAMMOND seven times for 53 yards and OS SHANNON CULVER five times for 51 yardsÂ… Defensively, the Wranglers were led by DS CEDRIC WALKER, who tallied 8.0 total tackles.

AUSTIN WRANGLERS SPOTLIGHT

Charlie Davidson – The Austin Wranglers had a bye in Week 1 and it was obvious that wide receiver-defensive back Charlie Davidson was anxious to get on the field. In his debut game with the expansion Wranglers, Davidson grabbed 13 passes for 151 yards and two scores on offense and added 3.0 tackles on defense in the Wranglers’ 49-48 OT upset win over the Predators. With veteran QB John Kaleo at the controls, look for a very productive season from Davidson.
