
AFL Names All-Rookie Team

NEW YORK â The Orlando Predators, who have secured a first-round bye in the Drive to ArenaBowl XVII, and the Dallas Desperados led all AFL teams with three selections each to the 2003 All-Rookie team. The Arizona Rattlers, Chicago Rush, Georgia Force, Los Angeles Avengers and Tampa Bay Storm were each represented with one selection.
Orlando players selected include: OL/DL E.J. BURT, WR/LB THABITI DAVIS and OS TRAVIS MCGRIFF. Dallas players selected include: FB/LB JA'MAR TOOMBS, WR/DB WILL PETTIS and DS JERMAINE JONES.
The Rookie of the Year will be announced on Wednesday, May 28, while the next award to be announced will be All-Arena first and second teams on Tuesday, May 20. The following is the complete list of the 2003 All-Rookie team:
