AFL Flexes National Game Of The Week Broadcast Schedule

June 11, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL) News Release

TULSA- The Arena Football League has flexed the NFL Network's Arena Football Friday broadcast. The July 9 broadcast will feature the Alabama Vipers facing off against the Orlando Predators in Orlando. Originally scheduled to air was the Tampa Bay versus Dallas game.

"We are pleased to bring another televised game to the Orlando market," said Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz. "With their average of over 10,000 fans per game, it is a great environment to broadcast to our national fan base."

This will be the second match up between the Vipers and Predators this season. In their first meeting, Orlando came out victorious by a score of 48-31 in Week 7. Both teams currently rank among the top of the league in their total defense per game average.

"This could not have come at a more perfect time," said Brett Bouchy, Predators Managing Member. "It was the only remaining game on our home schedule that was not being televised. I could not be happier that the league has made this decision."
