June 14, 2013 - Arena Football League (AFL) News Release
CHICAGO - The NET10 Wireless Arena Football League has announced its schedule of events for ArenaBowl XXVI Week in Orlando, Florida. The Rosen Shingle Creek will serve as the official host hotel of ArenaBowl XXVI, with numerous events being held at its Shingle Creek and Rosen Centre properties.
The festivities will kick off with ArenaBowl Media Day at 1:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 15. All players and coaches from both teams will be available to take questions from the media and discuss the upcoming championship game. AFL Commissioner Jerry B. Kurz will also be on-hand to address the media.
Former NFL quarterback and current co-owner of the Philadelphia Soul, Ron Jaworski, will emcee the AFL Celebrity Gala at the Rosen Centre in Orlando on Thursday night. Legendary rock band KISS will be in attendance, along with several other local and national celebrities, including numerous former NFL and AFL players. The celebration will feature a cocktail hour beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by a three-course meal, live music and the AFL awards ceremony.
