Affiliate Casey Gilling Joins Lumberjacks for Weekend Road Trip in Madison

MUSKEGON, Michigan (April 9th) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks have announced the addition of affiliate Forward Casey Gilling to the active roster for this weekend's pair of road contests on Friday and Saturday against the expansion Madison Capitols, where the Sault St. Marie, Michigan native is scheduled to make his USHL debut.

Gilling, the seventh round selection by Muskegon at 102nd overall during the 2014 USHL Phase I Draft, spent the majority of the 2014-15 season with the Omaha AAA Midget Minor team totaling 17 goals and 27 assists in 31 games. In addition, the Northern Michigan University commit skated in five games for the Omaha AAA Midget Major squad notching a pair of goals plus an assist.

During the 2013-14 season, Gilling played for the Soo Indians AAA Midget Major team amassing 19 goals and 29 assists in 56 games. The forward made his collegiate commitment to play for the Wildcats out of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) back in late September.

In an additional roster move, the Lumberjacks have recalled affiliate Defenseman Alex Green for this weekend's games in Madison. Green, the Chicago, Illinois native and Cornell University commit, made his USHL debut back on February 16th in Bloomington against the expansion Thunder.
