af2tv On af2.com To Feature Wolves vs. Conquest Live

July 20, 2006 - arenafootball2 (af2) - Manchester Wolves News Release

The Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's professional arenafootball2 team, announced today that their road battle against the Albany Conquest has been selected as one of only two games to be broadcast live this week for FREE on af2tv on af2.com!

"This is the first time our game has been selected on af2tv, and it couldn't have come at a better time" said Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella. "This will be a great opportunity for our fans to watch us play a big road game."

Thanks in part to XOS, the af2's web provider, the game will be shown live and FREE of charge this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. (EST) on www.af2.com for all Wolves' fans viewing pleasure! To view the game fans should go to www.manchesterwolves.com and scroll down to the right-hand side of the home page to the "watch Manchester at Albany live" link which will send you directly to the game. Wolves' fans can also turn their radio dial to WFEA 1370AM to hear announcer Dick Lutsk bring all the action live to your household.

Manchester's match up against the Conquest, their 15th career battle and third of the year, couldn't be any bigger for the Wolves who need another big win this week to keep their playoff hopes alive for that sixth and final playoff bid in the American Conference.

The Wolves have turned it on as of late, riding a two-game win streak under rookie quarterback Steve Bellisari from Ohio State University, with big wins over East Division rivals Green Bay Blizzard (9-6) and Wilkes-Barre Scranton Pioneers (8-6) in consecutive weeks.

"We talked about do-or-die. We came out and played the way we're capable of playing," said Bennett after Friday's 45-14 victory over the Pioneers. "We're not in the playoffs by any stretch of the imagination, but we've put ourselves in position."

If the Wolves can chalk up wins against the Conquest this week on the road and against the Quad City Steamwheelers (6-8) next week at home on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena then Manchester will be a lock for the post season for the second year in a row under head coach Ben Bennett.

The other game available for fans on af2tv for those that want to watch will be the American Conference match up of two first-place teams, Louisville Fire (9-5) vs. the Florida Firecats (11-3), which starts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Fans should go directly to www.af2.com and click on the "live this week on af2tv" link on the site's home page.
