af2, Russell Athletic team up on exclusive, multi-year partnership

CHICAGO - The arenafootball2 league (af2) and Russell Athletic, one of the world's leading sports apparel companies, have teamed up on an exclusive, multi-year partnership that designates Russell Athletic as the new Official Uniform and Apparel Outfitter of the af2. Terms of the five-year agreement were not disclosed.
Russell Athletic has also been the official uniform and apparel provider of the Arena Football League (AFL) since 2006.
"We're very pleased to announce this exciting new partnership with a top-notch sports apparel company like Russell Athletic," said af2 President Jerry Kurz. "They've been an enthusiastic supporter of the AFL and recognize the value of af2. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."
In addition to Russell Athletic outfitting all 25 af2 teams with uniforms and other select apparel items, the partnership includes various league-wide promotional and advertising platforms. Marketing components include in arena signage and advertising as well as a presence on all team and league websites. These components will be maintained on both local and national levels throughout the regular season and playoffs.
