CHICAGO - Spokane wide receiver/defensive back CHARLES FREDERICK, Bossier-Shreveport quarterback J.J. RATERINK, and Spokane defensive specialist ROB KEEFE have been named the U.S. Army Ironman, Schutt Offensive Player and ADT Defensive Player of the Week, respectively, for Week 9 of the 2006 season. In addition to these three awards, the recipient of the Cutters Catch of the Week Award goes to Everett wide receiver/defensive back HASSAN BROCKMAN. The Catch of the Week is a new honor that highlights the player who makes the best catch of the week.

U.S. ARMY IRONMAN OF THE WEEK

Frederick (5-11, 195, Washington), in his rookie af2 season, was a playmaker on both sides of the ball and on special teams for the Spokane Shock in the team's 68-63 Week 9 home win against Quad City. On offense, Frederick finished with three catches for 72 yards and one touchdown. He also recovered an onside kick attempt in the fourth quarter and returned it 12 yards for a score. Frederick finished with 58 kick return yards. This is the first Ironman of the Week honor of Frederick's career.

SCHUTT OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
