Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI - The Milwaukee Admirals and Texas Stars resume their best-of-five Western Conference Quarterfinal series on Wednesday, May 1 at 7:30 pm at the Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, TX. The series is currently tied at one game apiece after THE TWO split a pair of contests in Milwaukee last weekend.

All three of the potential remaining games in the series will take place in Texas, as the Stars, because of their higher seed, had the choice of playing the first two games of the series at home or the final three. Game four will be on Friday, May 3 at 7:30 pm and, if necessary, game five will be Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 pm.

The first two games of the series certainly lived up their billing as close, hard-checking battles. Texas won the first game with a 3-2 overtime victory, courtesy of Brett Ritche's OT goal, while Magnus Hellberg stopped all 23 shots he saw in a 2-0 win for Milwaukee on Saturday.

Not only will the location of the series shift, but the look of both teams will change as well. With the conclusion of the NHL season on Sunday both Nashville and Dallas returned players to the AHL to finish the post-season. The Stars received rookie forwards Alex Chiasson and Reilly Smith and defenseman Jordie Benn, while the Admirals had six players return; forwards Taylor Beck, Chris Mueller, Kevin Henderson, Daniel Bang and Joonas Rask and defenseman Victor Bartley.

Milwaukee finished the season on fire on the road, tying a team record with five straight road wins, including shutouts their final two games of the season to just slip into the playoffs. The Admirals have not allowed a goal on the road since April 12 at Grand Rapids, a span of 157:51. The Ads won 10 of their last 11 games away from the BMO Harris Bradley Center and finished with 20 road victories for the eighth time in the past ten seasons.

The Admirals will host a viewing party for games three and five at Major Goolsby's. A viewing party for game four will take place at City Lounge in Cudahy (3455 E. Layton Ave). For more information on the viewing parties fans should check out www.milwaukeeadmirals.com.
