Adam Pettyjohn named Pitcher of the Week

For the second time in three weeks, Armada Ace Adam Pettyjohn has won the GBL Pitcher of the Week honors for the California Division. Pettyjohn has been a sure thing for the Armada this season and currently leads all Golden Baseball League pitchers in wins and innings pitched.

His accomplishments last week included throwing a complete game shutout against the Japan Samurai Bears. Pettyjohn allowed only 5 hits and walked none while striking out a season high 9 batters en route to his league leading 8th win.

The Armada has now won the Award on five different occasions. Jeff LaRue was Player of the Week for Week 2, Ryan Webb and Adam Pettyjohn were Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 4, Chris Miller won Player of the Week in Week 5 and now Pettyjohn has repeated in Week 6.
