
Aces Opening Night Highlighted by Whitney Myer Band, Fireworks

RENO, Nev.-The Reno Aces home-opener is set for Friday night at 7:05 p.m., featuring an on-field performance by the Whitney Myer Band, special pre-game player introductions and the season's first Saint Mary's Fireworks Friday presented by KRNV News 4.
The Aces-who are off to their best start in franchise history at 3-1-will play host to the Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Friday at 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:35 p.m. The festivities will begin with a pre-game, on-field performance by the Whitney Myer Band.
The 2011 Reno Aces team will be introduced during a special pre-game ceremony, which will include pyrotechnics and unique player introductions.
The Whitney Myer Band will perform the national anthem, while the University of Nevada ROTC will be on hand to present the colors.
Immediately following the game, fans will be treated to the season's first Saint Mary's Fireworks Friday presented by KRNV News 4. After the fireworks-as with all Friday, Saturday and Sunday games throughout the season-all kids 12 and under have the chance to run the bases on the field, courtesy of "Kids Run the Bases presented by Dr. David Welmerink."
The Whitney Myer Band will also perform in the Freight House District following the game, where fans can enjoy the new menu at Duffy's and late-night dancing at the 250 Lounge.
