Abilene Ruff Riders News Release

The Abilene Ruff Riders are pleased to announce the signing of defensive coordinator Mike Fox. Coach Fox comes to the Ruff Riders from the Erie River Rats, where he served as Erie's defensive coordinator for the 2010 season. Coach Fox has previous experience with head coach Shon King as they worked together in 2009 for the Quad City Steamwheelers.

Coach Fox has been coaching indoor football for the past seven seasons and has been coaching football for close to twenty-five years.

Coach Fox's defenses are known for the hard-hitting aggressive style and are usually ranked among the top defenses in whatever league they maybe in. Coach Fox also has extensive experience on the business side of indoor football and he will be assisting on that side as well.

When asked about Coach Fox, head coach Shon King had this to say, "I couldn't be more pleased to have Coach Mike Fox as my defensive coordinator. He was my top choice and pretty much the only candidate that I considered for this position. Coach Fox's defense's create chaos and confusion for all offenses that they face. Our defense will be aggressive and hard hitting and I am just glad that we only will have to face his defense in practice. I have known Coach Fox since I was a player in Quad City and I can tell you that there is no better person to have in your organization then him.

The Abilene Ruff Riders 2011 season kicks off on March 12. Season Tickets are as low as $35 per seat for the entire season. For season tickets or to become a valued partner in a soon to become championship winning SIFL franchise call (325) 677-7277.
