
Abelsthauser, Houde-Caron and Paradis suspended

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, March 10th, 2011 - The prefect of discipline for the Québec Major Junior Hockey League, Raymond Bolduc, has suspended Konrad Abeltshauser, Antoine Houde-Caron and Philippe Paradis for incidents which occurred in three different games.
Last Saturday, during a matchup between Halifax and Acadie-Bathurst, Mooseheads defensive player Konrad Abeltshauser, received a penalty for a checking from behind. He has a two game suspension.
Sunday, during the Gatineau vs Lewiston game, Lewiston left-winger Antoine Houde-Caron received a penalty for elbowing. He received a two game suspension.
Finally, during a meeting between the Moncton Wildcats and PEI Rocket last Sunday, PEI left-winger Philippe Paradis received a penalty for an illegal hit to the head. He received a three game suspension.
The prefect of discipline took these decisions after watching the video incidents, reading the officials' reports, talking with the players and organizations involved and consulting the Advisory Committee for disciplinary action.
All suspensions are in effect as of today, Tuesday, March 15th, 2011.
