
Abbott Blanks Charge; Charge Clinch Spot in Championship Series

McKinney, TX - August 9, 2015 - Monica Abbott extended her scoreless streak to 58 consecutive innings Sunday afternoon at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch. The tall lefty gave up four hits, walked two and struck out 15. She improved to 13-1.
Brittany Cervantes and Emily Allard both collected two hits for Chicago including Cervantes first inning home run. Each had an RBI. Megan Blank and Tammy Williams each had one hit and scored.
Jolene Henderson suffered the loss for Dallas going six innings. She allowed three runs on seven hits.
The Bandits improved to 30-16, solidly locked in second place as the regular season winds down.
The Dallas Charge, by virtue of the PA Rebellion loss earlier in the day, secured the fourth and final spot in the NPF Championship Series that begins August 14 in Hoover, Alabama.
The Charge will take on the Bandits again Monday night at Craig Ranch. First pitch, 7pm.
