January 14, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that Dwayne Lee of the Vermont Frost Heaves and Ismael Caro and Ife Anosike of the Manchester Millrats will serve suspensions for their parts in separate altercations during the game in Burlington, Vermont on January 12th.

According to Brad Hester, ABA VP of Team Operations, "There is no room in the ABA for the type of behavior displayed by these players. Lee will serve a one game suspension while Caro and Anosike will serve three and ten game suspensions respectively. (Anosike has been released by the Millrats).

Hester added, "The ABA is a place for families to come and enjoy exciting and affordable professional basketball. Good sportsmanship on and off the court are hallmarks of the league. Both teams and the ABA apologizes to the fans that attended the game or watched it on TV. We will do everything we can to make sure that it does not happen again."
