ABA Summer Pro League announces tryout combine

July 19, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release


Westchester, CA. The Southern California American Basketball Association Summer Pro League will hold an open Free Agent Tryout Combine July 26, 27, 28 at the Westchester High School Boy's Gym located at 7400 W. Manchester Avenue, Westchester, CA 90045. Players are encouraged to register in advance at www.9SportsEntertainment.com. "Enter the World of the ABA Summer Pro League" to obtain more tryout registration forms. Cost of the camp for players registering now is $200. Walk-on players may register at 8am on the morning of July 26. Professionals and rookies are invited. Successful players will be invited to play on a free Agent ABA Summer Pro League team getting a shot to be selected to play on a regular season ABA team. The ABA regular season starts in November. The ABA Inglewood team is also participating in the Tryout Combine. Sean Higgins, Head Coach of the Inglewood team, stated, "We are looking for players with heart, in excellent shape and top notch competitive basketball skills."

The first ABA Southern California Summer Pro League will be held August 5-20 at Westchester High School, home of the 2004-2005 Boy's Los Angeles city and California state Division 1 champions. The ABASPL is the league's Southern California stage for both ABA and free agent players to compete and sharpen their skills. The ABA Xperience! also brings fun and entertainment with a wide variety of interesting activities starting at 11am. Opening ceremonies are August 5th at 130pm; playoff games are August 19 & 20.
