
ABA Summer Pro League action continues

Westchester, CA. The Los Angeles Aftershock, one of the new entries into the American Basketball Association for the coming season picked up its third consecutive win in action at the ABA Summer Pro League in Westchester, California. Scott Freymond had the ABASPL crowd behind him and repaid them with a stellar performance as the LA Aftershock defeated AMM 119-66. Freymond made four of eight three pointer shots on his way to a 30 point effort for Head Coach Andre Smith.
Corey Williams got LA off to a great start with 7 points in the first quarter. Jamar Cramer added 5 points and 2 steals, but LA trailed by 8 at one point and by six at quarters end 37-31. Nick Sheppard came off the bench to score 8 points and Maurice Spillers 6, but it was two threes by Freymond that got LA the six point lead at the half 57-51.
Spillers started the second half rampage for LA with two three pointers while Sheppard added 7 points. but it was Freymond that turned the game into a rout. Freymond slashed and drove his way to 16 third quarter points. Ivan Garner added 2 threes and 12 points as LA outscored AMM 52-19 in the quarter to lead 109-70.
Freymond finished 9 of 17 from the field and 6 rebounds and 4 assists to go along with his 30 points. Sheppard had 17 points and 8 boards, while Garner added 15 points. Maurice Spillers and Jamar Cramer added 12 and 11 points respectively. The Aftershock return to ABA Summer Pro League action Friday against host team and unbeaten Inglewood Cobras at 730pm.
