ABA names first two All-Stars

January 9, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today named the first two of the twenty-six players that will be competing in the ABA All Star Game to be played in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday, January 28th. According to Tom Doyle, ABA President, "We thought it would be more interesting releasing the names two at a time. So look for updates everyday. And we're starting off with two excellent players:

West All Star: Jamel Staten, 6'7" guard/forward for the Minnesota Ripknees. Jamel is averaging 30ppg and 8 rebounds. And is a repeater from last year's All Star team.

East All Star: Rob Sanders, 6'7" forward for the Cape Cod Frenzy. Rob is averaging 21.4 points, 11.8 rebounds and shoots 58% from the floor.
