ABA Media Introduces A New Name: ABA Vision

Published on August 21, 2007 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that its new media initiative has been named ABA Vision. According to Paul Riley, VP of ABA Media, "We felt that this name, ABA Vision, captures the heart and soul of what we will be doing with all of the new video technology available to us - and are excited that we will be able to bring the live action of ABA basketball games worldwide, including our new association with PlayON! Sports, a division of Turner Sports.

The ABA recently announced an agreement with PlayON! Sports, a division of Turner Sports, to provide online streaming of the league's games on an exclusive ABA broadband channel beginning with the 2007-08 season in November with approximately 300 games being featured in the US, Canada and Mexico.

"The response to the original announcement has been tremendous and many people have signed up to receive more information about the program and how they can subscribe," added Riley. "While it is pre-mature to order, it is a good idea to get your name on the list now and we will send complete details shortly including a schedule of the games to be featured. To register, visit www.abalive.com, click the PlayON! Sports/ABA Vision banner and register. No obligation of course."
