ABA LiveTalk to focus on ABA expansion

June 23, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Los Angeles, CA. Derrick Pearson, host of ABALIVETALK, announced that this week's show will focus on expansion teams. The direction and success of the ABA will be positively impacted by the new teams and ownership groups. The one-hour weekly program can be heard on www.abalive.com at 3pm EST.

This week's show will once again focus on emails from ABA fans and supporters, plus a roundup of tryout camps, player signings and promotional plans for ABA teams. The weekly "Ask the CEO" segment will include emails from ABA CEO Joe Newman. To email Joe, send to joenewman@abalive.com. To email the show, use abalivetalk@aol.com. According to Pearson, "The show's audience has grown dramatically with thousands of fans worldwide listening every Saturday. I think it is because the ABA does so many interesting things year-round including the teams heavy involvement in community affairs, youth summer camps, and other activities during the off season. The ABA is obviously much more than basketball from November to March. And we really appreciate the support."

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
