
ABA has a new Skywalker, the Gwizzlies Sam Cox

During the 1970's the old ABA had a basketball player who jumped so high off the floor he earned the nickname "Skywalker". That was the Denver Nuggets David Thompson, ABA, NBA legend, and 50 all-time greats of the League. To draw any comparison to Thompson leaping ability is sheer respect in the world of basketball on any level and any League.
The 2004 ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies think they might have a clone in the person of 6'8 Sam Cox. The 23 year old ballplayer workout with the team last Friday nite and excite the Gwizzlies coaching staff and his teammates with his surreal quick dunks. Gwizzlies coach Roy Rogers told the general manager Bernard Bynum that Sam Cox has skills and great leapng ability.Each friday through June, from 6:00-8:00 at the Gwinnett Crunch Fitness center, Cox and the Gwizzlies will have workout sessions preparing for summer league play.
The green-eyes, Alabama native, blessed with Hollywood movie star looks, plans to sign a contract with the Gwizzlies after his attorney Lisa Van Wagner of Montgomery, Alabama inks out the details with the organization.
