March 18, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
What happens when you mix the funniest, hottest movie star, one of the most versatile actors ever, and a Grammy winning music mogul, also voted the planet's sexiest vegetarian? You get the hilarious new movie "Semi Pro" - and you have a chance to be in the film!
BeInAMovie.com is accepting public registrations for the filming of "Semi-Pro" March 19, 20, and 21 and 26, 27, and 28. People of all ages are welcome to join the fun and watch the stars as they play their parts as wild and crazy ABA basketball players from the 1970s. As the filming will be taking place in a small basketball arena, fans will have a chance to be "up close and personal" with stars such as Will Ferrell, Woody Harrelson, and Andre Benjamin.
"The movie brings back the great memories of the old ABA," stated Richard Tinkham, founder of both the original ABA and the new ABA.
To make the event even more fun, there will be free parking, raffle prizes and tons of fun and excitement. Have you ever wanted to be in a movie? Now's your chance! Go to www.beinamovie.com to register and get more information.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
