AAPBL Conducts dispersal draft from CBA and NBDL Rosters

(Billings, MT) - Today, All American Professional Basketball League conducted a dispersal draft of players from the CBA and NBDL leagues.
2004-05 All-CBA Player of the Year Sam Clancy of the Idaho Stampede was first draft pick by the AAPBL's Mankato Mallards. Second pick was Britton Johnsen to the Hutchinson BallHogs. Mike Moten, coach of the Butte Bandits, chose Booby Lazor as number 3. The top 3 draft picks all hail from the CBA.
The coaches of each of the 10 AAPBL teams will follow up with their draft picks by phone or by letter and will retain right of first refusal through the 2005-2006 season.
"AAPBL is a topnotch league paying top dollar to our players," said Worth Christie, President and CEO of AAPBL. "There's no doubt we'll be pulling players from other leagues. Everyone is going to want to play with us."
