AAL CEO Addresses Schedule, Competitive Balance
Published on April 10, 2019 under American Arena League (AAL) News Release
On a recent podcast AAL CEO, Tony Zefiretto explained the development of a schedule and some of the determining factors in establishing the American Arena League master schedule, "The American Arena League schedule is initially developed based on arena availability. The first few weeks saw veteran teams defeat young franchises by large margins. We also had teams play multiple games before other teams played their first game of the season. It is my personal opinion, teams that already have at least one game under their belt, have an advantage over teams competing in their first game. We request at least nine available weekends per team, however, some teams are handcuffed by their arenas bookings".
Tony Zefiretto continued to explain, "As the American Arena League approaches the heart of its league schedule, games will become more competitive.
