January 27, 2020 - BASEBALL Frontier League: The independent Frontier League's Florence (KY) Freedom, which came under new ownership this past summer, announced its new team name will be the Florence Y'alls starting with the 2020 season. Other nickname options included the Go-Goettas, Fossil Jockeys, Pop Flies and No Sox. August 5, 2019 - BASEBALL Arizona Fall League: Major League Baseball announced the 2019 schedule and MLB affiliates for each of its six AzFL teams that will start play in September, a month earlier than past seasons. AzFL teams will also play some games in 2019 against teams from Mexico's fall league called the Mexican Pacific League, or Liga Mexicana del Pacifico. July 10, 2019 - American Arena League, CEO, Tony Zefiretto released the 2019 American Arena League All Star Team. "The unbalanced schedule presented some uniqueness to the process of owners and coaches nominating the players. We have representation from eight different teams.
