In 1974, the Whitecaps and Seattle Sounders squared off for the first time in the North American Soccer League. Thirty years later, much has changed, but the rivalry is fiercer than ever. In 2003, the Sounders knocked the Whitecaps out of the playoffs. This Friday, July 9th the Whitecaps will be looking for payback! Friday is also Alumni Night. Celebrate thirty years of Vancouver soccer history with Whitecaps and 86ers greats including Buzz Parsons, Carl Valentine, Steve MacDonald, Dale Mitchell, and of course Bob Lenarduzzi!

Also at Friday's game, you will be able to vote for your favourite Whitecaps/86ers of all-time! If a game was on the line, who would you rather have in goal, Paul Dolan or Phil Parkes?
