NEW ORLEANS (January 15, 2013) - The Arena Football League has assigned Quarterback Zack Eskridge to the New Orleans VooDoo, announced the VooDoo front office Tuesday, January 15th.

In2011, Eskridge was signed by the NFL's Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. He was later released from the Cowboys training camp.

Eskridge finished off his collegiate career at Midwestern State as MSU's leader with 6,953 passing yards, 64 TD passes, 570 completions, a 65.7 completion percentage and a 152.9 pass efficiency rating . While attending MSU, Eskridge earned D2Football.com honorable mentions All-American status and was the Daktronics Super Region 4 Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Mustangs to an NCAA II postseason appearance and to their first Lone Star Conference championship in 2009.

"Zack has all the tools to be a successful AFL quarterback," said VooDoo Head Coach Pat O'Hara. "We're looking forward to seeing him in camp."
