
Strikers Confirm Emilio Orozco Loan from Tigres

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL - The Fort Lauderdale Strikers have acquired defender Emilio Orozco on a season-long loan from Tigres de UANL of Mexico. The same team as current Strikers forward Leopoldo "Polo" Morales.
"Emilio is a talented player we're excited to add to our group," said Strikers head coach Daryl Shore. "He's going to get a chance to improve his skills and help us to reach our goal of winning a championship."
Orozco, 20, has made appearances for the United States U-17 and U-20 national teams. He also attended the U.S. U-17 residency program located in Bradenton, Florida. The same academy which oversaw the development of current national team stars Jozy Altidore, Landon Donovan, and Oguchi Onyewu.
In 2010, with the Tigres U-19 team, Orozco won the Be Quick International Tournament in the Netherlands.
The Strikers continue their preseason schedule Wednesday, Mar. 21st, when they play a friendly match against Florida Atlantic University at 8:00p.m. at FAU's soccer stadium.
