
Kevin Swider Earns MVP Award

[Asheville, NC] â Knoxville Ice Bear Kevin Swider has become the first recipient of the Southern Professional Hockey League's Most Valuable Player award, as voted on by league coaches, general managers and the media.
Swider, a Livonia, MI and NCAA Division 1 Ferris State University product, was the SPHL scoring champion on the strength of 33 goals and a league high 73 assists. He also led the league in +/- at +34 for the season.
Kevin, a unanimous all star choice, was a huge contributor to the success of the Knoxville Ice Bears and the team's first place finish during the regular season.
