Montreal, QC - (November 19, 2008) - On Sunday, November 23 the Montreal Alouettes and Calgary Stampeders will play for the 96th Grey Cup championship at Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Quebec.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00pm ET and will be broadcast live on TSN HD and RDS HD. TSN's pregame coverage begins at 3:00pm ET and RDS's pregame coverage begins at 5:00pm ET.
The radio rights holder for the Grey Cup is The FAN Radio Network. The game will also be available on SIRIUS satellite.
In the United States, the Grey Cup will be broadcast on Voom HD, VERSUS and ESPN360.com.
Here is look at the match-up:
- This is the third time the Alouettes and Stampeders have met in the Grey Cup. The first time was in 1949 in Toronto when Montreal defeated Calgary 28-15. The two teams also met in 1970 in Toronto, with the Als winning that game by a score of 23-10.
- This is the first time since 1951 that two rookie head coaches have met in the Grey Cup (Ottawa Rough Riders, Clem Crowe vs Saskatchewan Roughriders, Harry Smith)
- The Alouettes will wear dark coloured jerseys and the Stampeders will wear white jerseys.
